Part of the 30th Algarve International Music Festival – 2008 a concert by the Orchestra of the Algarve and the Orchestra of the ExtremaduraOnce again these orchestras collaborate to give us a night of wonderful music with:
- Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (The Mastersingers of Nuremberg) one of the most popular operas and;
- Symphonie fantastique (Fantasy Symphony), widely regarded as one of the most important and representative pieces of the early Romantic period, and very popular with symphonic audiences worldwide.

Note: Portimão Arena is at Parque de Feiras e Exposicões de Portimão and is an excellent venue easily accessible from the centre of Portimão and within walking distance from Portimão’s Riverside Area.
