FIESA - The Worlds Biggest Sand Sculpture Event will open on Thursday May 22nd. Some 50 sculptors from all over the world are working to turn 35 thousand tons of sand into authentic works of art! The sculptures can reach 15 m in height.
The theme of the Festival this year is Hollywood. This very special and mega exhibition will give us scenes of the most unforgettable films in cinema history. Love stories, comedies, adventure, science fiction and horror movies, i.e. films of all genres are represented. Expect classics such as Casablanca, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, King Kong, Alien and other classics to be portrayed. Portuguese cinema is also being represented.
Opening times: Open daily from 22nd May until 22nd October, 10AM to Midnight.
Ticket prices:
Adults : 7 €; Children (6-12 years old): 4 €; Children (up to 5): Free
Location: FIESA is on the E524 near Pêra.
From the A22: get off at junction 8 – Algoz/Pêra – and follow directions to Pêra
