Formula One Powerboat Race

Watch them fly in the Arade river, by Portimão’s pretty riverside.

Main competition race Sunday: 9 May 2010 @14:00.

It’s the start of the Championship in Portimão for the 12th consecutive time!

This year with 19 pilots from 11 countries & 10 teams.

However, the Italian Guido Cappellini (Zepter Team), World Champion in 2009 will not be present. The 59 year old won 10 times the World title and retired recently after 25 years of activity!

In the race will be Thani Al Qamzi of the United Arab Emirates, the Finnish Sami Selio, the American Jay Price, Jonas Andersson from Sweden and Duarte Benavente (Atlantic Team; Portugal).
