German Classical Music at the Portimão’s Parish Church

An evening of classical music by the Portuguese Orchestra of Chamber Music

An interesting programme that offers an opportunity to hear music that was banned and music that was approved by the nazi regime.

The programme will consist of works by Hartmann, Strauss, Klein, Wagner and Haas.

The Portuguese Orchestra of Chamber music is directed by Pedro Carneiro and has soloists Adrian Florescu (violin) and Eldevina Materula (oboe).

1st Part
Concerto Funebre by Karl Amadeus Hartmann
“Siegfried Idyll” by Richard Wagner.

2nd Part
Study for Orchestra by Pavel Haas,
Concerto for Oboe and Small Orchestra by Richard Strauss
Partita (Trio for Violin, Viola and Cello in arrangement for chamber orchestra) by Gideon Klein
